FAQ
What is Zakat?
One of the five Islamic Pillars, the compulsary annual tax in islamic law, which has to be paid from various kinds of income and property (both movables and Real Estate) by all independent, capable, free and adult muslims in favor of their coreligionists who are in need. According to Shariat, the payment of Zakat means that incomes and acquired wealth are not sinful.
What is Sadaga?
It is voluntary alms, which each muslim pays according to his own discretion and desire with intention of deserving Allah's contentment. More broadly, Sadaka is each beneficence (not only material) which is made honestly, for Allah
How is Nisab calculated?
Zakat has to be paid at the rate of 2.5 per cent of individual's financial condition, which exceeds Nisab's amount. Nisab which is equal to 84.8 gram of gold is the minimal amount from which Zakat has to be paid. Zakat is paid out from gold, silver, cash money, investitions, business and rental incomes and also goods, stocks, securities and bonds which are for-sale.
Where has Zakat to be paid?
Holy Quran determined the people, for which Zakat is distributed for:

The Meaning: "Zakat is intented for beggars and the poor people and for those people who are involved in it's collecting and distribution; and for those, who became Muslims recently and whose hearts are in need of strengthtening their Faith; and for slaves, which entered into a contracts for liberation with their owners for certain price; and for those who are unable to pay their debts; and for those, who are fighting on Allah's way, and for those, who are on their way and have no any resourses. This is Allah's injunction, verily Allah is Knowing about his Slaves, He is wise in His Creation (Quran, # 9:60)
